I wanted to let you know that we had the Thunder Elite 16U team over for a Dodgeball tournament this past weekend. A great time was had by all and we walked away with the "Tournament Title" for the Senior High division.

The Thunder Elite 12U team is crowned champions at the Spring Explosion ASA Eastern National Qualifier in Garrettsville, OH this past weekend. Strong pitching and timely hits were evident all weekend. This is a very energetic group and I encourage all to watch this team perform in the future. Way to go ladys
The Thunder Elite 10U team takes runner-up at the Spring Explosion ASA Eastern National Qualifier in Garrettsville, OH. Strong pitching combined with big hits and the small ball game proved very effective all weekend long. The championship game went 8 innings before a champion was decided. Nice showing ladys.
The Thunder Elite Family congratulates both teams on a very successful outing.
By the way, I was told to say you looked great in your uniforms.

Taylor Rozantz, of our 18U team, played softball in Europe for the North American Select Team at the Cup 2009. Taylor departed for the Netherlands on January 7th and played against teams from Russia, Germany, Belgium, Italy and the Czech Republic. Now safely back home and rested, she has many stories to share with all. Congratulations Taylor from your Thunder Elite family, WE ARE PROUD.

The Thunder Elite 12U team and the Outback Steakhouse invite you to "Dinner Down Under" featuring the Outback Special; Chicken on the Barbie or Grilled Salmon along with your favorite salads and side dishes. The fundraising event will take place Saturday, February 7, 2009 between the hours of 11:30am and 1:30pm at the Outback Steakhouse in Niles, Ohio. Adult tickets are $15 and a Joey Menu is available for $7.50. A raffle and silent auction will also be taking place.

Erin Seely hits a Grand Slam Homerun in the last game of Fall Ball to complete a perfect day for the Thunder Elite 18U team. Many witnesses claim the homerun was a result of a mouthful of ice cream while at bat thus producing a brain freeze that produced the perfect swing....LOL. Congratulations Erin.

Congratulations to the Thunder Elite 10U team on finishing second place at the Valley Extreme NSA Fall Tourney this past weekend. After defeating Valley Extreme in the semi - final game on Sunday, the Pittsburgh Lady Roadrunners proved to be a bit much for our young squad. What a great start for this team, we are all very proud of you.

Joe Kroll has been named the head coach of the Thunder Elite 10U. Also, Mark Grimes has been named the head coach of the Thunder Elite 12U.

Thunder Elite Fastpitch welcomes two new teams to the organization. The 10U and 12U teams will be added to our existing 16U and 18U teams for the upcoming season. We would like to welcome players, coaches and parents to the Thunder Elite family and wish all the best of luck.

Rod Sheffer has been named the new head coach of the 16U team. After assisting with this team for a year, Coach Rod has stepped up to guide this team to another succesful season.
Tom Rozantz has been named the new head coach of the 18U team. With only two returning players from the '08 season, Tom will have his work cutout for him. We're sure he will handle this transition smoothly and produce another powerhouse team.

Congratulations to the 16U team for taking the Runnerup at Summer Rebellion VII in Marion, Ohio this past weekend. After a lenghty rain delay on Saturday, the team went 1 - 0. Sunday was sunny and nice, and the team responded by completing the tournament with a 5 - 1 - 1 record. Well done ladys.

We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the Hamil family on the passing of Ed "Speedo Boy" Hamil. On Friday May 30th, Ed's long and hard fought battle to stay on a softball diamond was lost. We will miss the deep booming voice and the sideline antics that Ed always provided to lift players when needed. I'm sure that Ed and Fuzzy are working very hard right now putting together the next Dream Team.
